[Atsushi doesn't have an overly high opinion of his own intelligence (or anything else of his own, let's face it), but Akutagawa's comment still annoys him. The guy doesn't even try to have a conversation, or to otherwise connect with people.]

There was a point to this before this juvenile argument started.

If you must know, I have not killed anyone since getting here. [Not that it's been that long, but it still matters. Probably!] As far as I know, threatening isn't part of the deal.
[Ugh, busted. It's extra embarrassing because Atsushi said he wouldn't name the cub after food - and then he did. But thankfully Akutagawa doesn't know that.
It's more of a relief than it should be to hear that Akutagawa hasn't killed anyone, but there are reasons why Atsushi can't help but take the guy's threats seriously - and having seen him in action is only, like, half of them.]
I can't say I take you as the type for empty threats.
